Josh Durr joined me to talk about what’s hot in cocktails- and how to make a great one. Josh is behind the cool things that are happening at Tonic. Pictured above is the “Augustus to Hollis” ( 1 1/2 oz Bourbon, 1/4 oz Campari, 1/4 oz Ginger Liqueur, 2 oz Infused Cider, served in a Champagne Flute)
He says there are 5 rules of a Good Cocktail:
1. Mastering the Classics First
2. Fresh & Measured Ingredients
3. Balance
4. Quality Spirits
5. Proper Glassware & Garnish
Dust off your punch bowl! Josh shared a classic punch recipe for holidays, too. Bourbon Milk Punch : 4 oz Old Grand Dad, 2 Cups of Whole Milk, 1 oz Simple, 1 bar spoon vanilla bean powder, A touch of freshly grated nutmeg
