Filled with her trademark enthusiasm and sense of humor, Jes didn’t go with  the traditional route of party planning guides that are organized by type of gathering. Instead she provides a timeline of basic party planning elements from start (concept and budget) to finish (menus and hostess etiquette.)

Jes says you need to start your planning with honesty- as in honesty about why you’re having the party and how much you can really afford to spend. She likes parties with relaxed elegance that feel like a special occasion without being stuffy. And she reminds us to always wear something fabulous, even if it’s basic black with a really terrific accessory. Party on!
