Oooh I just love Halloween! Here are  a few tricks for some Halloween treats, and a little inspiration to get you started.  Don’t be scared- there’s no pastry bag required!  I made these cupcakes with Pillsbury cake mix and frrosting, decorator gels and candies. Don”t forget the spider rings!

These are adorable,Amy! I love how easy they seem to make…my kids will love them, and I will love the simplicity! Seen a lot of cupcakes…but these are the best so far. Thank you for sharing your ideas!

    Thanks Susan-
I like to make both large and mini cupcakes. One boxed cake mix will make 12 full size and 24 minis. I think the variety of sizes makes for the cutest display. The big spider is much cuter with baby spiders around it.

It’s totally cheating to use box mix and icing….but I will admit that they look amazingly cute!

    Hi Linzi-
I’m a fan of both boxed cake mixes and from scratch, though I do prefer homemade frosting. Do you have a cupcake recipe that you really love? Send it along and I’ll post it!

    Hi Amy!
I’m having a hard time finding the rope licorice in black…I’ve seen peel-apart in red…but so far, no black. Any suggestions?

    Hi Susan-
Supreme Nut and Candy has black whip licorice. They also have an incredible selection of creepy gummy candy- and jut about anything else you might think of.
    Have fun!
