What is needed to hold space on the cruise?
A deposit of $500 per stateroom payable by check or credit card
What are the penalties if I have to cancel?
You can cancel up to 70 days prior with no charge
69 – 30 days – you will forfeit deposit
29 – 8 days – 50% of total price
7 days or less – no refund
Is Cruise/Vacation cancellation coverage offered?
Yes, Celebrity cruise lines has insurance available at rates starting at $59 – $119 per person (depending on cabin type) that will waive the cancellation penalty under covered reasons. It will also provide coverage for independently booked air, accident and medical benefits, evacuation, baggage protection and more.
Insurance may be paid with initial deposit, but must be paid PRIOR to final payment
What documents are required for the cruise?
As of June 2009 this sailing will require a passport for proof of citizenship (due to the stop in British Columbia)
When is final payment due?
Final payment is due April 10, 2009 – we will also require the completion of the embarkation forms we send to you to be filled out and returned in the self addressed envelope provided.
How should I purchase airfare?
You can book your airfare directly through the cruise line if desired ($635.00 per person) roundtrip transfers are included in that price. However, if you are doing a pre or post stay or prefer to do air on your own, you can also purchase transfers separately.
Please note, your air schedule will not be available until 90 days prior to your cruise unless you request custom air which has a fee.
What is the suggested times for arrival and departure if I book my own flights?
The pier is 14 miles from the Seattle airport. You should arrive into Seattle on July 3 no later than12:30 and depart on July 10 no earlier than 12:00n
When can I reserve my Shore Excursions?
You can reserve them anytime from the time of booking up until 10 days prior to sailing. You can also purchase them while onboard ship, but it is recommended to book ahead of time to avoid it being booked up. Shore excursions can be booked with Talgood Travel or directly online.
How much money should I bring?
Accommodations, meals, some beverages and entertainment are included in price of the cruise. You will need money for shore excursions not prebooked, alcohol and soft drinks, photos, souvenirs, food off ship and gratuities. There are ATMs onboard for your convenience.
What are the gratuity guidelines?
It is customary to tip staff members you feel have given exceptional service. The following guideline is recommended:
Waiter – $3.50 per day
Assistant Waiter – $2.00 per day
Butler (Suites only) – $3.50 per day
Assistant Maitre’d – $1.00 per day
Stateroom service – $3.50 – $4.00 per day
Assistant Chief Housekeeper – $0.50 per day
How many formal/casual nights are there?
On the 7 night cruises there are 5 smart casual nights/2 formal nights
Post stay information:
There are rooms being held for July 10 – 12 at the Alexis Hotel in Seattle if you would like to extend your trip. Room rates are $676.00 total for 2 nights including all taxes and fees.
