Thanks for all your requests- here's the recipe!
If Mint Juleps aren’t your thing, try this recipe for Bourbon Slush from my neighbor, Marjorie. It’s fabulous! It makes a lot and will fill a 9×13 pan to the point that you’d be hard pressed not to spill it. I make it in a large glass bowl, instead. If you don’t have one large enough to accommodate, divide the recipe between 2 glass pans or bowls. I scrape the mixture with a fork a couple of times during the freezing process.
Cheers! Amy
Marjorie’s Bourbon Slush
12 ounces frozen orange juice concentrate
6 ounces frozen lemonade
½-1 cup sugar, or to taste
2 cups brewed tea
1 ½ cups bourbon
6 cups water
To serve: 7-Up to taste, Maraschino cherries to garnish
Mix together and freeze in a large shallow glass pan. Scrape into glasses; add 7-Up to taste. Top with a maraschino cherry.
