Website of the week:
http://www.foodnews.org/walletguide.php
This website lists the pesticide levels in food. You need this information because there's a growing consensus that even small doesed of pesticides and other chemicals can be harmful to us. Because of the toxic effects of pesticides are still not well understood you should try to minimise your exposure to pesticides whenever possible. Washing and rinsing produce reduces levels of some pesticides, but it doesn't eliminate them. The best option is to choose organic when possible, especially in the case of those fruits and vegetables with the hightest levels of pesticides.

CowPots are the invention of brothers Matt and Ben Freund, second generation dairy farmers from Connecticut. CowPots are made from composted manure that is weed-seed free. I found out about CowPots from Jerry Krismer, a local famer who's family has been in business for over 120 years. In addition to vegetable plants and flower plants, Krimer's sells CowPots. You can get more information on the web at: http://www.krismers.com/.

Hi Amy,
I have been listening to your show on Q102 on Sunday mornings and have just recently been watching your show on Wednesday nights on CET. I am a single gal and was wondering if you could do a show on cooking for one or if you had any ideas for easy meals for one person. After working all day, it would be nice to be able to fix a quick, healthy meal without all the mess and time spent cooking in the kitchen. Any ideas? Thanks.
Angie

I recently recieved a great email from a viewer and I thought I'd share the information! Enjoy!
Hi Amy,
I enjoy your show and have heard you mention Italy a few times. If you were traveling solo there, what areas would you say are a "must visit"? I am a foodie… love pasta/veggies and seafood but do not eat "land meat" - pesca-tarian. Like smaller, quainter areas and do not have a huge budget.
Any help pointing me in a direction would be appreciated!! It's a bit overwhelming.
Thank you!!
Laura
