Danny Gold's Wine of the Week
Lily Rose of Pinot Noir $14.99
Sonoma, California
Tasting notes: A bouquet of roses and hard candy lead to an acidic punch on the finish. In between is a score of nice cherry fruit, roses, and herbs.
Food: Game on. Everything from flank steak to salmon, burgers and brie, a great Rose can match any cuisine.

Hi Amy,
Following up on yesterday's topic of battery and paint recycling, many local
municipalities have there own recycling programs that are free to local
residents. Blue Ash for example has a recycling program which allows for paints,
batteries, motor oil, anti-freeze, construction materials and other stuff. At
this time they are not accepting old computers but are exploring that option as
well. This recycling center is located just off of Grooms Rd in Blue Ash (not far
from Sycamore High School).
Take Care,
Dennis

Hi Shelly- Thanks for your email! I use flax meal sprinkled on my cereal. Do remember that the flax seeds must be ground to get their full benefit. Use a spice grinder, food processor or blender. I also take flax oil caplets. You can find them at grocery or health food stores.
Connie Volker found a great website and dug up some recipes using flaxmeal -try them and let us know what you think.

Finally, we asked Lauren Niemes from the Nutrition Council for some info on Flax Meal for you, Shelly. Here’s what she had to say “Foods that contain omega-3’s include fatty fish like salmon, sardines, herring, mackerel. Plant sources of omega-3’s include soy, walnuts and flax. The omega-3 in plants is not the same as the form found in fish. All omega-3’s are not created equal. “ Lauren also included some info on Flax. For more info, visit the web at www.nutritioncouncil.org.
Thanks again for watching- and listening! Amy
